📚 Book launch: "Principles of Transylvania" - Teresa Oborni
📅 October 25, 2025, 16:00
📍 Diet Hall, Palace of the Princes of Transylvania, Alba Iulia
The Cultural Center of the Palace of the Princes invites you to an exceptional event - the launch of the volume "Principles of Transylvania", signed by the historian Teresa Oborni, one of the most important researchers of the history of the Principality of Transylvania.
The book brings to the public, now also in Romanian, the complete biographies of the Transylvanian sovereigns from the period of independence of the principality (1540–1690) – a fascinating era, but still little known to the general public.
The volume impresses with its rigorous documentation, period illustrations and authentic fragments from the sources of the time, which reproduce the atmosphere of Renaissance Transylvania.
👩🏫 The author, 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐝 – professor and researcher at the “Eötvös Loránd” University in Budapest – will be present at the event, offering a unique perspective on the personalities who shaped the history of the Principality.
🖋️ The Romanian edition was produced by the team of the Princes' Palace Cultural Center, in collaboration with the National Archives of Hungary and the School Foundation, which offered the publishing rights free of charge – a remarkable example of cross-border cultural cooperation.
The volume can already be purchased from the National Center for Information and Tourism Promotion Alba Iulia, located in the Princes' Palace building.
We look forward to welcoming you to the Princes' Palace to celebrate together this valuable contribution to cultural heritage!💫
