On October 25, 2025, we invite you to “Reformation Days: Protestant Communities Throughout the History of the Principality of Transylvania”!
The event, organized by the Cultural Center Palace of the Princes of Alba Iulia, together with Babeș-Bolyai University – Faculty of Reformed Theology and Music and the Reformed Parish of Alba Iulia, will take place in the Diet Hall.

🔬 18 researchers from Romania and Hungary (including Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest and “1 Decembrie 1918” University in Alba Iulia) will explore the impact of the Reformation on the religious, social, and cultural life of Transylvania, from the 16th century to the post-principality era. The topics include the relationship of Queen Isabella and John II with religious confessions, Reformed printing houses, and the network of Szekler settlements.
📚 At 16:00, book launch: “Princes of Transylvania” by Teréz Oborni.
🎶 From 19:00, closing concert with the UBB Musichorum Choir, at the St. Michael’s Catholic Cathedral.
