The 4th edition of the Mărțișor and Ornament Festival from Țara Bârsei is the traditional craft fair that will take place on February 21-22, 2026 at the Reduta Cultural Center, in the Music Hall. The event is organized by the Brașov Traditional Culture Service. and the “Poarta Dorului” Association.
We invite you to an event dedicated to traditions, authentic crafts and the symbol of Romanian spring. For two days, 28 talented craftsmen will exhibit their creations and bring to the public the beauty of work done with care and passion.
Visitors are invited on Saturday and Sunday, between 11:00 and 20:00, to discover and purchase handmade mărțișor and ornaments, folk art objects and creations inspired by the cultural heritage of the area.
During the fair, you can admire: glass martisors, gobelin-style stitching, crocheted ornaments, martisors painted on wood or glass, naive painting, wool socks, icons, wood carvings, folk costumes, felted wool fairies, clay modeling, martisors sewn on gauze, pottery, stained glass, mosaic objects, fabrics, woodworking and many other creations made by skilled craftsmen.
The festival program includes craft workshops, work demonstrations and product presentations, as well as recitals of old Romanian music performed by folk craftsmen present at the fair.
The public is invited to participate in the martisor workshops, organized according to the following schedule:

The festival aims to bring back to the public the charm of the traditional martisor and the joy of direct encounters with folk craftsmen, in a space of dialogue between generations.
