Come and see knights and damsels, combat demonstrations, interactive history lessons, concerts, spectacular fire jousting and many other attractions and surprises!
Three medieval days are coming, July 11-13, to everyone's liking!
For 24 years, the festival has kept the tradition of celebrating, praising and honoring the history of places and brave people who demonstrated their courage and love for their country.
Come and see how history comes to life, to discover the symbol of times and moments of hardship, glory and demonstrations of courage that are inscribed forever, both within the walls of Neamț Citadel, and in the pages of history and literature of the Romanian nation!

“Neamț Fortress Days” at the 24th edition
Three medieval days, July 11-13, to everyone’s taste!
“The Call of the Fortress – History and Legends” is this year’s medieval festival to which we invite all Neamț residents, tourists and all those who love medieval events!
“Neamț Fortress Days” is the festival that writes history, keeping alive the memory of Neamț Fortress, the histories and legends that surround it
Ladies and knights, cannon volleys, knightly camps, combat demonstrations, exhibitions of weapons and armor, workshops of all kinds come to life at Neamț Fortress and at its foot, as tradition demands!
The beloved and long-awaited festival “Neamț Fortress Days” reaches its 24th edition this year. Thus, not only the deeds of the heroes, the peasants and the rulers of Moldavia, Stephen the Great, have remained inscribed in history and have become immortal in the memory of the Germans and the Romanian Germans, but also this festival, which, through its constant development, respects a beautiful tradition of remembrance and writes a page of history, through which it praises and honors the symbols of the medieval past that speak of deeds, heroes, and personalities of great value who lived in these lands.
The activities and experiences that have been prepared for the three days of celebration are at least as interesting as those from past editions: medieval exhibitions, interactive history lessons, archery demonstrations, medieval combat, specific games, medieval cuisine, armor workshops, jewelry making and even crowns for kings and queens.
And, like every year, the little ones will be the most spoiled visitors, because, especially for them, there will be drawing, rug weaving, pottery, numismatic and coin minting workshops, treasure hunts, medieval-style face painting and many other attractions.
Also during the festival, you will be able to enjoy traditional crafts and objects, exhibitions of local products and tastings of selected dishes from the Bison Land.
In the evening, the bands Trei Parale, Lupii lui Calancea and Valentin Uzun & Orchestra Tharmis will take the stage, and the first two evenings will end with the spectacular fire juggling that particularly delighted the audience in previous editions.
The festival organizers, Neamț County Council, Târgu-Neamț City Hall, "Ion Creangă" Culture House Târgu-Neamț and the Neamț National Museum Complex, invite you to the event and promise you a fabulous edition!
