The Urban Events Association invites you from May 8 to 10, 2026 to the Peasant Market and Craftsman (You Are)! Fair, organized in the inner courtyard of the National Museum of the Romanian Peasant, in Bucharest, Monetăriei Street, no. 3. Admission is free.
The museum courtyard hosts craftsmen and artisans from all over the country. Visitors who love tradition can choose from here handmade gifts: collectibles and new ones from different ethnographic areas, icons painted on wood or glass, traditional rugs woven in a loom, belts, necklaces, leather goods, ceramic pots, silver jewelry or with semi-precious stones, decorations and paintings, toys, natural cosmetics, lavender, flowers and many more, only good to give as gifts. Children, but also adults, can participate in painting workshops and demonstrations, icons painted on wood.
Producers bring a lot of goodies to the fair: fresh and matured goat and sheep milk cheeses, seasonal fruits and vegetables, honey and bee products, tțuică from Cuca Măcăii, homemade cakes made according to Banat recipes, pies, a wide range of jams, kuros kalacs, baclava and sarai.
In the inner courtyard, antique collectors invite you on a journey through time. They bring from the dowry chests and households of Romanian villages, spinning wheels, tools from the peasant household, bowls, bowls, gates, spoons, authentic folk costumes, carpets, icons and peasant furniture, but also jewelry, statuettes, candlesticks, books, numismatics, paintings, decorations and all kinds of collectibles.
Delicious dishes will be prepared on site: chicken skewers with fried cauliflower, sărmăluțe with polenta, beans with drumstick, pork ribs with sauteed cabbage, bulz, trout, mackerel.
