If so far we have celebrated Dragobete and Mărțișor, the spring traditions continue with Women's Day, the millers' estates and the grandmothers' days. We invite you to the inner courtyard of the National Museum of the Romanian Peasant, from March 7 to 9, 2025, to the Spring Peasant Market Fair together with dozens of artists, artisans, craftsmen, producers and collectors.
Producers from all over the country are waiting for you with fasting and sweet products: fruits and vegetables, apple juice, fine jams, honey and bee products, cozonac, dairy products from the Siberian and Teleorman lands, traditional dishes, pies, homemade chocolate and sweets according to old recipes, baklava, șuberek, donuts, kurtos kalacs and all kinds of goodies. The traditional terrace has menus in the cauldron: rolled cabbages, beans beaten with onions, sweet chicken soup, plums with rice, peasant soup with smoke, grilled vegetable mosaic, grilled dishes, Wallachian martyrs in a cauldron with red wine.
Craftsmen, artisans and young artists from all over the country will be present with: icons, ceramics, dolls, wood, traditional and handmade jewelry, natural soaps and cosmetics, peasant clothes and costumes, tablecloths, towels and all kinds of fabrics, glass, felted wool, paintings, lavender pillows, spring flowers, leather, wicker and metal decorations.
Antique collectors bring peasant furniture, objects from the peasant household, fabrics, traditional costumes from different ethnographic areas, old books, porcelain, records, numismatics, paintings, jewelry, candlesticks and many other various old objects with their stories.
We are waiting for you from Friday to Sunday, between 10:00 and 18:00 to bargain at the “Spring Peasant Market”, in the inner courtyard of the National Museum of the Romanian Peasant.
