Saint Andrew's Fair

The Peasant Market invites you from Friday, November 28, to Sunday, November 30, between 10:00-18:00 to the Saint Andrew's Fair organized in the inner courtyard of the National Museum of the Romanian Peasant in Bucharest. Admission is free.
Access is via Monetăriei Street and Ion Mihalache Boulevard.
The event marks the end of autumn and the beginning of the winter holidays and brings together traditional producers, folk craftsmen, artisans and collectors.
Craftsmen and artisans will bring handmade objects: fabrics, ceramics, jewelry, wooden objects, glass, leather, wooden and crocheted toys, icons painted on glass and wood, ii, masks, opinci.. Not decorations, lavender products, natural cosmetics and Christmas decorations.
Fruits and vegetables, honey and bee products, jams, zacuști and pickles, mulled wine, various pies, homemade cakes and pastries, baklava, sarailii, kataif, traditional smoked meats, fresh and matured cheeses, țuică de la Cuca are just a few of the delicacies you can taste.
Dishes will be prepared on site, according to local recipes: fried carp with polenta and mujdei, carp brine, fish borscht, grilled trout and sea bream, sarmale, Szekler cozonac, pies and langos.
Merchants and collectors await you in a special world, with old objects (chests, peasant furniture, old peasant ceramics, household tools, cart wheels, ii and fote, carpets and various peasant fabrics from various ethnographic areas, paintings, jewelry, books, numismatics, porcelain, postcards, gramophones and much more.
