About

The Public Service for Market Administration organizes the Martisor Fair in the Council Square from February 27 to March 1, 2026, between 10:00 and 18:00.

The Martisor is an ancient symbol that celebrates the arrival of spring and the rebirth of nature. The Martisor – the small object tied to a white and red string, is a symbol of the coming spring, but also of hope and is given to loved ones to bring them luck. It appears in the tradition of Romanians and neighboring peoples (in Bulgaria, Albania and Macedonia). We therefore offer Brașov residents and tourists this fair with products and gifts specific to our Romanian holiday, as well as handmade and craft products as they emerge through Romanian traditions, and at the same time we provide the opportunity to promote local crafts, support artisans and buy gifts and traditional objects, products specific to Mărțișor, handicrafts, jewelry, as well as other items.
