Zau de Câmpie Castle

On April 25 and 26, we will meet again at the Castle for the 3rd edition of the Peony Festival, an edition in which the family is the center of attention. This year's program was designed as an invitation to spend time together in a special natural setting—two days of discovery, creativity, play and relaxation.

Below you will find the program of activities:
🎨 Exhibitions
• "My Village" Exhibition – works made by the little artists of the "Wilhelm Demeter" Painting Club, coordinated by Rozalia Farkas, with the participation of students from the Zau de Câmpie Junior High School.
• Stands with craftsmen, artisans and local producers – objects inspired by peonies and castles, traditional products and authentic creations.

🔨 Workshops & experiences for children
• Demonstration workshop on processing leather and iron products – an increasingly rare experience, brought to the festival for the first time.
• Puppet creation workshop – children create mascot dolls alongside puppet artists and are taught to transform them into living characters.
• Face painting – colors, characters and smiles for the little ones.
• Beadwork workshop – creativity, patience and handmade accessories.
• Crepe paper flower workshop – peonies and flowers made by children, for children.

• Children's theater performances – two interactive performances supported by the Artya troupe.

🗺️ Outdoor activities
• Treasure-hunt “Peony, Flowers and Zau Castle” – educational adventure for the whole family.
• Guided tours and guided bike tours – we discover the castle, the reserve and the natural heritage.

🎬 Film screenings
• Documentaries dedicated to remarkable personalities of our history: Iuliu Maniu and Ecaterina Caradja – two landmarks of dignity, courage and uprightness, landmarks that Romanian society needs so much now, more than ever.

🍽️ Tastings & local gastronomy
• Traditional products and meetings with local producers.

🎶 Concerts & musical performances

• Ansamblul Mureșul

And besides all this, we are preparing a few surprises, which we will reveal as they materialize… or maybe we will let you discover them directly on the spot — otherwise there would be no surprises, right?
