As part of the “Night of Museums” event, the Feldioara Fortress opens its doors to the public on Saturday, May 23, 2026, between 5:00 PM and 9:00 PM. Under the name “Fortress of the Arts”, the recently restored historical monument becomes, for one evening, a living space where the past and contemporary art mutually enhance each other.

Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the three towers of the fortress, where exhibitions of history and ethnography are arranged, but also to discover fascinating details about the restoration process and the importance of this heritage site. In addition, the event offers the rare opportunity to visit the fortress during the evening, in a special atmosphere.

The artistic program continues the tradition of collaboration with the “T. Brediceanu” Popular School of Arts and Crafts of Brașov, transforming the fortress into a true art gallery. From 5:00 PM, the opening of the exhibition "SELF-PORTRAIT" will take place, which brings together mural mosaic works made by students coordinated by Professor Alexandru Leonard Truțiu. Due to the spectacular nature of the technique and the success with which it was met among the students, the course will become permanent in the planned program of the Sculpture and Ceramics group. Mosaics are modulative elements, and can be presented in various exhibitions, since they are fixed on a cement support. Due to this fact, the exhibition will be an itinerant one, the first stop taking place in the Feldioara Fortress where it can be visited until the end of June. The purpose of the exhibition is not only to present, but also to attract other students and to highlight the students' mastery acquired during the courses.

The evening will continue with musical moments supported by the young artists of the classical guitar class – students of the Popular School of Arts and Crafts, as well as of the “Tudor Ciortea” Vocational Music High School in Braşov. Under the guidance of professor Naneș Ioan Lucian, they will offer the public a complete cultural experience.

“The Fortress of Arts” promises a memorable foray into history, art and culture, in an authentic and charming setting.
