Between August 01–03, 2025, we invite you to the Medieval Days of Bălgrad – the 10th edition of the medieval art festival!
For 3 days, in Alba Iulia, the past of the citadel – known during medieval times as Bălgrad – will be brought back to life through art.

Medieval art enthusiasts will be able to participate in:
- open, interactive workshops: medieval dances, traditional crafts, and games for children
- guided tours within the citadel
- weapon-handling demonstrations
- medieval art performances: music and dance, theatre, fire juggling
The event is a thematic one, dedicated to promoting medieval and Renaissance art. All performances respect the specific characteristics that give authenticity to the genres presented.

Public access is free to all scheduled events, within the limits of the available space. In case of unfavorable weather, performances will be delayed or rescheduled.

The Medieval Days of Bălgrad – medieval art festival is a cultural project dedicated to promoting the Citadel through art, organized annually by Grupul Skepsis in partnership with:
Alba Iulia City Hall; The Students’ Cultural House Alba Iulia; The National Museum of the Union Alba Iulia; “Inter-Art” Foundation Aiud; and “Lucian Blaga” Alba County Library.
